If I listen to the Kaiser Chiefs to forget my troubles, is that better or worse than drinking to forget my troubles? Am I likely to form a habit that spikes off a vicious circle leading to addiction, dependency and the total collapse of thoes parts of my life that aren't already at ground level?

Well, everyone has at least one method of diffusing their 'troubles.' You've just developed a second. And while listening to the Kaiser Chiefs is definitely less chemically damaging, they are only the Kaiser Chiefs, after all. :shift:

I'm referring to "Dane Cook's Vicious Circle", a rather mediocre stand up comedy act that Comedy Central refuses to stop playing at every chance they get.

Well I've only heard it "cycle", so obviously cycle is better.
