....Is amazing. Both the movie and the screenplay. As you may surmise, I just saw it yesterday. Full of amazingness and win. I will of course be getting it on DVD.

I hate Tim Burton and Johnny Depp so I probably wouldn't like it.

Gotta love Helena Bonham Carter though.

It's very heavily based on the play script, it doesn't feel like a Burton at all.

A screenplay is a movie script, almost every movie is based very heavily on a screenplay.

But yes, its amazing, and I dare say a lot darker than anything Burton has done. I've been a fan of the musical for years, and I feel it really does cover all the bases: Rape, revenge, shaving, jailbait, cannibalism.
